Vatral® 200 fire protection adhesive
For bonding mineral fiber, calcium silicate and vatral insulation boards to each other, to each other, to sheet metal or to fabrics and fleeces
- High temperature resistance: The silicate adhesive can be used for temperatures up to 1250 °C, even with repeated cooling.
- Fast curing: The fire protection adhesive cures both physically by removing water and by reacting with atmospheric carbon dioxide. The adhesive does not tend to flow and forms a superficial film after just 4 minutes.
- Ready to use: One-component adhesive – can be used immediately.
Application examples
- Bonding mineral wool insulation boards to metallic substrates
- Lamination of mineral wool insulation boards with nonwovens, fabrics or cloths
- Bonding mineral wool insulation boards together without limiting the application quantity or thickness!

Product information
areas of application
For bonding mineral fiber, calcium silicate and vatral insulation boards to each other, to each other, to sheet metal or to fabrics and fleeces.
processing
Vatral® 200 is ready to use. Before application, stir bucket containers thoroughly; knead spout bags gently. Vatral® 200 can be applied either over large areas or at specific points using a spatula or directly from the spout bag. Combing the material with a notched trowel ensures an even layer thickness and extends the open time for joining the materials.
Application can also be carried out using a squeegee or roller. For large-scale use, Vatral® 200 can be sprayed with a hand spray gun (e.g. Walther Pilot GM 1030P). The product is non-sagging and forms a surface film after about 4 minutes (recommended processing time up to 15 minutes when using a notched trowel).
To ensure proper curing of the adhesive, sufficient exposure to ambient air is required. The surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. Painted or coated surfaces should be sanded if necessary.
During application, the room temperature must not fall below 10 °C. Clean tools immediately after use with water.
