PROCESSING/APPLICATION
How to process Vatral® 200

1
Mix the bucket content thoroughly before processing. The areas to be glued together must be stable, dry, dust- and fat free.
2
You can flatly or selectively apply the adhesive with a spatula or from the tubular bag. The combing with a serrated spatula ensures an even layer thickness and prolongs the time for adhesion of the materials.
3
Vatral®200 does not tend to flow and forms already after approximately 4 minutes a top layer (recommended process time up to 15 minutes when using serrated spatula). The strength of the adhesive is reached after approx. 4 hours, the complete curing time after approx. 24 hours.
4
Clean your work equipment immediately after working with water.

CERTIFICATION
Always on the safe side
In contrast to other adhesives Vatral®200 fire protection adhesive has been proofed to be non-combustible in ship building and land building. This gives you more options and security for the application and the construction of composite elements.

Vatral® 1030
Fire Protection Adhesive
one is produced high-temperature resistant, one components adhesive from mineral/inorganic organic hybrid binders. Specific use of easy fillers increases the productiveness and improves the processing quality.
Vatral® 1030 was developed especially to stick mineral wool together with a mortar like adhesive order with each other or on mineral or metallic sub-reasons flatly. Closing or fulfilling gaps. Particularly in compensation on uneven areas as well as for the joint free processing (top surfaces adhesion).
Your advantages
Not combustible (euro class A1 according to DIN EN 13501-1)
shipbuilding admittance in accordance with IMO FTPC part 1
Slight processing
By the proof of the fire class A1 and the use as mortar according to DIN EN 998-2:2010 Vatral®1030 can be used as a material component in not homogeneous building materials considering the DIN EN 13501-1:2010-01
The closely set limits for not material components according to DIN EN 13501-1:2010-01 are dropped.
The applied layer thickness of Vatral® 1030 on insulations of the euro league A1 can be higher than 1cm without having influence on their classification.
Application examples
Adhesion of mineral insulating materials or fire protection boards. In particular it is used for a joint free installation or to compensate uneven areas. The adhesive strength of Vatral® 1030 got prepared for the use of heavy mineral wools.

Tensile test vertical to the surface layer according to DIN 53929
60 mm rock wool 160 kg/m³ on chipboard stuck.
With Vatral® 1030 stuck together and at room temperature dried, cut centrically.
Tensile tests with rock wool 160 kg/m3, show that the combine in the adhesion withstands higher attractions than the rock wool into himself.

Vatral® 1030 can be charged up to 1100 degrees Celsius, above 900 degrees Celsius melts a part of the fillers of the adhesive and forms a ceramic compound with the containing mineral components. The sticking effect keeps also above 900 degrees Celsius.
160 kg/m³ a heavy rock wool stuck together with Vatral® 1030 and dried at room temperature, burned in the annealing furnace at 1100 degrees Celsius then for 4 hours.

Processing
The adhesive is ready for use. Stirring up the adhesive before the processing.
The processing can be carried out with serrated spatulas.
The areas to be stuck together must be dry, dust and fat-free. The room temperature mustn’t be during the processing less than 5 degrees Celsius.
The tools must be immediately cleaned with water after use.
Further notes
Small proportions of the binder volatilize from temperature of 150 °C. Pay attention to the details in the safety data sheet.

Vatral® 150/650
the intelligent technical insulation made of mortar and moldings

The most effective solution for stable insulation free of convection and thermal bridges and with increased protection against fire, mould and rust. Usable in industrial plants, vessels, offshore or building construction.
Reduce your operating costs
Use the advantages of Vatral® 150/650 for new energy-saving solutions with considerably reduced insulation thicknesses.
Not only the required area reduces because of lower insulation thicknesses, but also the energy balance improves by a lower thermal radiation due to smaller surfaces.
Simple in the handling, safe and homogeneous
Combinations of our Vatral® 150/650 products allow a thin and thermal-bridge-free insulation. Thus hot spots are no longer a threat as a main source of danger.
Vatral® 150/650 mortar resembles a modelling clay which can be easily distributed and adjusted to different forms. Due to the easy handling of Vatral® 150/650 mortar even complex constructions can be insulated easily, fast and free of thermal bridges. Particularly in combination with Vatral® plates, pipe shells and moldings.

Variable, smokeproof – preventing rust and mould
Filling hollow space, compensating faults or irregularities, preventing convection:
These are our strengths.

Differences, which make the difference
High flow resistance
= low convection
= low thicknesses
of insulation layer
= low heat loss
(by reduced surfaces at the same surfaces temperature)
Even at high temperatures there is almost no convection in Vatral® 150/650 due to the production of flow resistances of 6000 kPa·s/m2.
Vatral® 150/650 mortar and moldings are therefore ideally suitable for insulations, where draughts cannot be excluded completely on or behind the insulation.
Another advantage of the high flow resistances is the reduction of the risk of fire of insulants polluted with oil or other combustible substances. By minimization of the oxygen supply and a homogeneous, hot-spot-free insulation a spontaneous combustion or glowing as a result of contamination inside the material is prevented from the beginning.
Vatral® 150/650 is therefore the better solution for combustible applications like thermal oil and gas pipes compared to other insulation materials with low flow resistances.
Smoke-proof
Vatral® 150/650 is stable in the case of fire and prevents the gas flue even without an additional cover.
High temperature resistance
With a maximum service temperature of 900 °C according to DIN EN 14706 the first insulation with ceramic insulation layers is not necessary for most application areas.
High compressive strengths
Lower insulation thicknesses already result from thermal-bridge-free insulation by renounciation of supporting constructions for perhaps necessary metal covers.
Low and slow oil absorption
The high share of the closed-cell micro hollow spheres in Vatral® 150/650 reduces the speed of penetration of oils as well as the maximum oil absorption.
Even at fire influence from outside the pollutions penetrated into Vatral® 150/650 only slowly take part in the fire on the surface. Fire-fighting operation is thereby made easier and shortened fundamentally.
By the high share of the closed-cell micro hollow spheres penetration of dust is not possible. There is no effect received to the insulation also in the long run.
Safe against rust and moulds
Cavities, irregularities or faults are difficult to fill with conventional insulation material without a rest of faults. Heat bridges are the consequence. The energy loss is not the only negative consequence. Heat bridges can allow the intrusion of condensation water which leads to mould and humidification of the components. The relatively high moisture resistance factor of 10 μ of Vatral® 105/650 in comparison to other insulation material supports the prevention of water vapour convection in addition.

New products make new solutions possible
Fast and easy in the renovation
Damages to insulations can be fixed quickly and simply with Vatral® 150/650 mortar any time.
Moreover, surfaces can be concealed in addition with fleeces, fabrics or aluminium foils as soon as the mortar has dried.
A cladding with Vatral® 200-soaked glass fabrics produces additionally a high-shock-resistance insulation by keeping the high fire resistance.
We offer corresponding foils, glass fabrics and adhesives in our assortment.
